RETURN MERCHANDISE POLICY
If you receive a defective product or for some reason, an item purchased through us does not meet your expectations, please contact us before returning the item.
A defective product being returned directly to Hobby Home may be checked by us for the decision of customer’s misuse or product’s problem. If item’s defective, item may be returned within 14 days for a direct replacement or refund. To ensure quick and accurate replacement of warranty products, we recommend that you contact us for specific return instructions. Different manufacturers handle warranties in different ways and it may be beneficial to you to return the item directly to the manufacturer.
A returning item, you may not like, must be unopened / unused and in its original packaging. If the original sales receipt and the original item with undamaged package are provided to Hobby Home, the products are returned for the direct replacement, full-value store credit or refund with 10% restocking fee within 14 days from purchase.
Once a product has been opened or used, or after the 14 day period mentioned above, you must refer to the manufacturer’s warranty for policies regarding repair or replacement due to manufacturing defects or other liability concerns. Most manufacturers warrant their product for a limited time and in limited ways and a used faulty product should be returned directly to its manufacturer.
For mail order returns, contact us first for the authorization. All orders returned without, will be refused. All Shipping charges are non-refundable.
Things to remember when returning merchandise.
- Returns must be made within 14 days of the invoice date and must be unused and in the original package for replacement or credit.
- If you are shipping a return back, you MUST CALL US FIRST in order to get an authorization.
- No returns on special customer orders will be accepted.
- If the item is altered in any way or is not in brand-new original condition, we will not take it back.

POLICY FOR ON-LINE SHOPPING
- We use the expedited parcel by Canada Post for shipping. The minimum shipping charge is $5.00 including $100 insurance. For the items under $30 and the size meets the Canada Post’s requirements (38 x 27 x 2 cm, 500g), we may use the oversize envelope with the flat shipping fee $4.00 in Canada without insurance & the tracking information when a customer choose this. In this case, we’re not responsible for missing, loss or damage of the item(s) by Canada Post. The shipping fee is not refundable after shipment.
- We accept credit cards for online orders through Paypal card processing service. The shipping address, when you inquire for shipping cost, should be the same as the one registered for credit card processing. We may not ship if two addresses aren’t the same.
- You can order, pay online and pick up at the store but the credit card owner and the card should be present because we need to take an imprint of the card and the signature.
- When you cancel your order after the payment through Paypal, we refund the amount you paid with the deduction of the cancellation fee, 5% and when through credit card company, the cancellation fee 5% + $20 will be deducted from the refund amount to you.
- When you refuse the shipment without a reasonable reason, the original shipping fee, 5% cancellation fee and any return shipping charge will not be refunded.
